About Us

TRANSFORM is actively anticapitalist and antiracist, continually working to identify and dismantle oppressive systems of power. Through redistribution of wealth to impact-focused entrepreneurs, we create opportunities for success without participating in systems of harm.

We offer growth-focused micro-grants of $1,000 to anticapitalist businesses led by social impact focused individuals. In addition to funding, grantees participate in a customized, year-long mentorship program, which includes access to pro bono services from a roster of experts in branding, coaching, business strategy and growth, marketing, and more.

The TRANSFORM Business Grant is designed to support individuals in systemically marginalized groups who are making social impact and demonstrate financial need. This includes, but is not limited to, BIPOC individuals, individuals who have a disability, formerly incarcerated individuals, and queer, trans, and nonbinary folks.

The TRANSFORM Business Grant is currently only open to applicants in the United States, regardless of citizenship or immigration status.

How do I know if I qualify for the grant?

The following are the core non-negotiables that must be met in each application to move forward in the review process. Applications that do not meet all four of these qualifications will not be considered.
- You identify as part of at least one systemically marginalized group;
- Your idea/business is aligned with TRANSFORM’s values, including antiracism and anticapitalism, and these values show up in how you run your business;
- Your idea/business is social impact oriented and challenges systems of oppression/addresses social injustices; and
- You are in financial need.
Please note:
- This grant does not fund political organizations or activities, religious organizations for religious purposes, or student loans or other debt payments.
- Recipients must be based in the US, but projects may have an international focus.
- Individuals and/or teams can apply for the grant.
- Applications that use AI will not be considered. We can recognize the language and patterns of applications/questions where AI is used to craft answers. Use of AI is inherently capitalist and does not align with our values at TRANSFORM. If we can detect AI was used to craft your responses, your application will not move forward.
- TRANSFORM does not have the capacity or expertise to consult or advise in medicinal or clinical practices. Business activities focused in these areas cannot be considered for the grant at this time.
