    We would love to speak to you about our respiratory therapy and cardiovascular sonography programs! The Department of Cardiopulmonary Science is currently hosting virtual information sessions by Zoom for prospective students and college advisors. Zoom sessions for respiratory therapy are hosted on select Thursdays at 4 p.m. CST and Zoom sessions for cardiovascular sonography are hosted on select Wednesdays at 12 p.m. CST. Please provide the type of contact preferred and the information below so that we may send a Zoom meeting invite to join selected information sessions. Our faculty welcome the opportunity to meet with you and further discuss becoming a highly skilled practitioner in the fields of respiratory therapy or cardiovascular sonography.

  • Sessions also include a tour of the department and other student areas on campus. Individuals are encouraged to visit https://www.lsuhsc.edu/administration/ae/housing.aspx for information on student housing.

    • We welcome you to send for review a copy of an unofficial or official transcript from each university that you have attended or are currently attending. Once reviewed, we will notify you of your calculated prerequisite GPAs (overall and science) and of any missing prerequisites.
    • Course listings from Louisiana universities and colleges, which meet our prerequisites, are available upon request.
