    No choices are guaranteed, and scheduling is made on class availability. Do not put a choice more than once. All classes are freshmen-only.

    • Learn and discover how to create an original character.
    • Master the art of using your voice and body to create impactful moments on stage.
    • Understand and practice different styles of acting from comedy to drama.
    • Play some fun and enriching theater games opening your natural performance skills.

    Art + 2D Design

    • Explore the foundations of design through digital drawing, digital photography and image manipulation
    • Use both traditional and digital mediums to create thoughtful and unique images 

    Band

    • Play in an instrumental ensemble with fellow freshman
    • Learn basics of music literacy and improvisation
    • Perform in concerts throughout the semester
    • Students must already be able to play an instrument

    • Sing in harmony with your classmates

    • Perform in concerts throughout the semester

    Dance Fundamentals 

    • Dance Fundamentals is a lively and engaging class where students explore modern dance styles while building coordination, rhythm, and confidence.
    • Students will practice basic techniques, study dance history, and collaborate in a supportive and fun environment.

    Media Literacy

    • Learn how to analyze popular movies, memes, and Super Bowl Ads
    • Evaluate the pros and cons of social media and screen time.
    • Understand the influence of "fake news" and disinformation
    • Create some of your own media expressions

    Popular Music in America

    • This music appreciation course studies music from 1900 – the current era
    • Learn the history of American popular music – from the blues and jazz, to rock and roll, to hip hop and modern pop

    Theatre and Communication

    • Learn and discover how theatre and entertainment  connect people and communities together.
    • Master the art of public speaking and communication.
    • Learn how to connect with an audience.
    • Play some fun and enriching theater games enhancing your natural communication skills.

    Visual Art

    • Explore various art techniques and mediums, such as drawing, painting, collage and more
    • Learn about historical and contemporary artists and their creative process
