2025 BIPOC Incubator Initiative Application
At Mass Farmers Markets, we believe that strong, sustainable food systems come from strong and diverse communities. As an organization that runs four successful farmers markets in the Boston area, we have the capacity to help break down barriers of access to vending opportunities for people who are historically marginalized in the food system. This year, we are partnering with the Cambridge Community Foundation to use our Central Square market as an incubator for BIPOC entrepreneurs in food-related farming and businesses. Using our grant funding, we will be able to cover vendor fees, provide materials needed for vending, and help connect business owners with other programs and opportunities available. For participants who commit to 3+ pop-up dates, we can also cover permit fees. MFM will provide tents, tables, chairs, and assistance setting up for the market.

Optional data collection
As this program is a newer program, we are looking to collect more information to help us gauge the successes of the program and get a sense of what needs to be improved for the future. It is helpful for our grant reporting to be able to offer more information to our funders, and can help us expand the program further in the future. These questions are optional and have nothing to do with program acceptance.
