Part-Time Pastor; Full Time Church Pilot

A MINI-SABBATICAL

DESIGNED TO SUPPORT DISTRICT PASTORS
The Western Plains District is announcing a mini-sabbatical program designed to support pastors in the district as they shepherd their congregations.

Through this program, congregations are encouraged to offer their employed pastors a mini-sabbatical of at least one weekend for a time of renewal and refreshment. The time can be used for either progessional growth or personal renewal time.

The District, through the Co-District Executive Ministers, will provide pulpit supply on the Sunday the pastor is away. Grant money is available to help subsidize costs associated with the mini-sabbatical.

This program is made possible through the District's partnership with the Church of the Brethren Ministry Office and the Part-Time Pastor; Full-Time Church program and is funded by a grant from the Eli Lilly Foundation. This two-year pilot project is designed to support part-time/bi-vocational pastors in working for health and vibrancy in their ministry work.
