The KDP Placemaking Micro-Grant Terms of Agreement:
By applying for the micro grant and signing below, I am agreeing to the following if awarded the grant:
1. Obtaining the property owner’s permission for all exterior improvements. The Kent Downtown Partnership is not responsible for contacting or working with the property owner/manager.
2. Providing the KDP all receipts applicable to this project up to $500 for reimbursement. The KDP reserves the right to not reimburse funds if receipts are not submitted or are submitted more than thirty days after project completion.
3. To receive reimbursement, the grantee will compile all sales receipts connected with the project and deliver to the KDP; once verified, KDP will issue a check to the business within thirty days. If any of the sales receipts are outside of the parameters of the grant, the KDP reserves the right to refuse reimbursement. To avoid this instance, please contact the KDP prior to spending money.
4. The grantee will publicly acknowledge receiving the Placemaking Micro-Grant on social media channels OR provide the KDP with materials as outlined on the grant criteria page linked above.
5. Applicant agrees to file separately and to specific or appropriate entities, for any needed permits or temporary licenses. This can include additional city or state (Washington State liquor and Cannabis Board) licensing or permits for planned use of alcohol, property. The Applicant agrees to communicate directly with the City of Kent regarding any additional needs for excess waste removal.
Mural projects - by accepting this grant award for your mural project, you are attesting that your project will not contain or allude to the following:
Religious inclinations, partisan politics, nudity, copyright infringement.
Additionally, you agree to the following: To provide the KDP with a concept drawing, or link to collaborative (you & muralist), Pinterest or mood board. To provide details of the location where the mural will be installed. That acknowledgement of KDP grant program funding in part, will accompany the mural. To provide a plan for ongoing mural maintenance. You acknowledge that any words or lettering in the design not consistent with mural acknowledgements as outlined are also subject to review.
