Scholarship Criteria and Application
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

The SC Upstate Aggies Alumni Chapter is proud to offer scholarships for the Fall 2024 semester. This scholarship was established to help deserving students alleviate some of the costs associated with pursuing their degree at North Carolina A&T State University.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

All applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a rising freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or first-time transfer student from the South Carolina Upstate area pursuing a degree at North Carolina A&T State University during the 2024-2025 school year
- Submit a complete application that includes: an official transcript, completed essays, and two letters of recommendation
- Must be a registered voter ((students 18 years or older)
- Must be a U. S. Citizen
- Must reside and be a graduate from a South Carolina high school in one of the following counties: Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Chester, Chesterfield, Greenville, Greenwood, Lancaster, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, and Union.
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS
- Each applicant must submit two (2) letters of recommendation that speak to the character of the applicant. Letters must be written on letterhead, indicating the capacity that he or she knows the applicant, and the number of years he or she has known the applicant.
- Official transcript from current school (high school or college). Transcripts should be mailed to:

- Copy of acceptance letter from North Carolina A&T State University (for rising freshmen or transfer students only)
- Validation of voter registration for students 18 years or older (e.g., copy Voter Registration Card or snap shot from SCVotes.sc.gov)
APPLICATION DEADLINE

All application information must be submitted by March 20, 2024, at 11:59PM EST. All documents should be uploaded and submitted with the application, with the exception of official transcripts which can be sent directly from the educational institution to the address listed above. Only completed applications with all required documents submitted will be considered for awarding.

Award recipients will be notified via email by April 12, 2024.
