Rabbit Sales Contract Logo
  • Rabbit Sales Contract

Thank you for your interest in our rabbits!! Please read over our contract and sign to move forward with reserving your bunny. Let us know if you have any questions about anything on here! (It seems strict but we are actually very flexible!) Remember that until this is signed and your deposit received, the bunny may be purchased by someone else as it is not officially reserved yet.
  • 1. Health- We do not guarantee the health of any rabbit once it leaves our property. Rabbits are sold as healthy to the best of our knowledge and checked over multiple times prior to leaving. We are not responsible or liable for any health issues, accidents, vet bills, expenses or other problems the rabbit may have once it leaves our property. By signing this, you agree you have looked over the rabbit and see no problems. Once it leaves any problems are the responsibility of the new owner. (if you have rabbits already, we highly recommend quarantining new rabbits a minimum of 30 days)

    2. Reserving- We require a NONREFUNDABLE, 50% down payment to hold your rabbit. If you change your mind, or do not respond to contact your down payment is forfeited, and your rabbit will be sold to someone else. If your rabbit is not picked up on the agreed upon date, we reserve the right to re-sell it and your down payment is nonrefundable. Deposits can not be transfered to other rabbits or litters. (we try and be very flexible but we are not a boarding center and pickup arrangements need to be planned when you are purchasing the rabbit. All rabbits can leave at 8 weeks of age which is listed under each litters information and communicated when you reserve)

    3. Re-homing- If you decide not to keep your rabbit, it MUST be returned to us if we have space, and we will find it a new home. (Please do not adopt a rabbit if you aren’t planning to keep it for 10-12 years, they do not rehome well and it causes them a lot of stress!!) Sales are final and a refund will not be given, but we will ensure it goes to a wonderful forever home. If we can not take the rabbit back, we will help with finding it a new home.

    4. Pick Up- Please pick up your rabbit on the agreed upon date which is usually the day they turn 8 weeks old. We can hold the rabbit for you at a cost of $5 per day after the listed age it needs to be picked up, IF we have extra space! Please understand that once a rabbit is weaned, it requires food and hay which is an added expense for us along with finding an extra cage and supplies for it to stay in. If you fail to respond after we have reached out for pick up day, your rabbit will be resold with no refund on deposit. If you fail to pickup your rabbit on the date agreed, or reschedule, we reserve the right to resell the rabbit and your down payment is forfeited. If the rabbit is not picked up on the day it turns 8 weeks (or within 72 hours) the full payment is required along with boarding costs. Rabbits must be picked up by the MAIN care taker so proper information can be relayed. (please understand we try and be flexible, but we have to have rules in place after a few instances)

    5. Sexing- Sexing your rabbit at a young age means errors can happen as their gender is not clear like dogs. Please keep that in mind when you purchase a young animal! We have checked multiple times but bunny genders can change. We are not responsible if the sex of the rabbit ends up changing AFTER it leaves our farm. You agree you also checked the sex of the rabbit upon picking it up to verfiy its gender.

    6. Pedigree- All of our rabbits are pedigreed, please do not edit that document or change the name of the rabbit on it. Please let us know a week prior to pick up if you would like the pedigree. Once it is made no changes will be made and pedigrees will not be offered to pet quality rabbits or issued after a bunny has left our farm.

    7. Transport- We are not responsible for any issue with using a transport. Once a rabbit leaves our property, it is no longer our responsibility. We are happy to make recommendations on transports we like, but please do your own research. It is your job to book the transport and keep in communication with them. We will not put rabbits on a transport that is not experienced with rabbits. Full payment must be sent a week prior to the rabbit leaving or on the day it turns 8 weeks if it is leaving at a later date. We will hold a rabbit for 2 weeks after it turns 8 weeks at no cost for transport, but after the age of 10 weeks, we charge $25 per week for boarding. Boarding is due when the rabbit turns 8 weeks.

    8. Payment- For payment we accept cash or venmo. Venmo MUST be sent as friends and family for your nonrefundable deposit to @peppermintroseranch The remaining amount is due upon pickup in cash.

    9. CANCELLATION – We reserve the right to cancel a sale and no refund given IF you are being difficult to work with, not responding, constantly changing the pickup day, or not preparing for the rabbit. These are an exotic animal so please research, learn and have all the supplies needed prior to pickup day.

  • Sending a deposit confirms you have read and agreed to our policies. Must be over the age of 18 to sign and purchase a bunny. Our rabbits may be reserved at 4-6 weeks of age and picked up by you on the day they turn 8 weeks. We do not allow them to leave prior to 8 weeks to ensure the health of our rabbits. Please do not ask to pick them up early, its not allowed. We proivde updated pictures once every 2 weeks as long as its not stressful for the rabbits.

They will be sent home with transitional pellets. Please feed them only that for the first 2-3 days to avoid multiple stressors at once. Then you may begin mixing the food we provide, with your own. Avoid giving your rabbit any treats, veggies, fruits etc until 6 months of age. (research as some fruits and vegetables are bad for them).

Please provide your rabbit with good quality hay. Your rabbit will also be sent home with a care sheet of tips, along with a toy or two. We love our rabbits and have given them attention since they were born but can not guarantee a rabbits behavior or personality.

Please make sure you have researched rabbits and their care (Especially GI stasis) as they are a 10 year commitment and we hope you are prepared to love them, as much as we do. We love receiving pictures and updates as these babies are members of our family. We hope you will love them, as much as we will!

Thank you for choosing our rabbits as your new family members!
