    Estate Planning Questionnaire
  • We know starting your estate plan is a big step and we try to make the process as easy as possible, but there is some preliminary work we both need to do. This Estate Planning Questionnaire asks for a lot of information. Please do your best to provide as much information as possible. For many clients some of the questions are simply not applicable, so do not worry if you leave some areas blank. Where values or balances are required, exact figures are unnecessary, please just estimate so we can be prepared for the Initial Estate Planning meeting (“IEP”).

    WHY WE NEED THIS INFO

We need the information about your personal situation to figure out whether there are particular issues you are concerned about or special circumstances we need to discuss at our initial meeting.

We need the financial information to determine whether you need tax planning as part of your estate plan. Even though most people will not have to worry at all about estate duty, it is imprtant to know that indiviadula tax must be paid before the estate wound up. We also need the financial information to provide guidance on transferring assest to your living trust, if you end up deciding on a trust-based plan.
