  • TATTOOS

    1. Leave the Bandage On

    • Your artist will cover your tattoo with a bandage or wrap. Leave it on for 2 hours (or as advised).

    • Once removed, wash your hands and gently clean the tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap.

    2. Keep It Clean

    • Pat the area dry with a clean paper towel—don’t rub!

    • Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free, tattoo-safe moisturizer - like a tattoo balm or unscented lotion.

    (NOT Bepanthen!)

    3. Avoid Soaking or Scratching

    • Don’t soak your tattoo in water—running water like the shower is fine - but no baths, pools, or hot tubs for at least 2–3 weeks.

    • Avoid scratching or picking at scabs or peeling skin; this can cause scarring or ink loss.

    4. Stay Out of the Sun

    • Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight during the healing process.

    • Once healed, always use sunscreen to keep the colors vibrant.

    5. Wear Loose Clothing

    • Avoid tight clothing that might rub or irritate the area.

    6. Follow the Healing Timeline

    • Most tattoos heal in 2–4 weeks, but slight dryness or peeling may last longer.

    • Continue moisturizing daily even after the initial healing.

If for any reason your tattoo becomes hot to the touch after the first few days (more so than when you first got it done) or secretes any funky looking liquid that isn't plasma or ink. Please do get in touch with us, your GP or NHS 24 on 111 as it may need medical assistance due to allergy or infection.

    PIERCINGS

Congratulations on your new piercing! Follow these simple steps to ensure a healthy healing process:

    1. Clean Twice Daily

    • Use a saline solution or a sterile wound wash (available at most pharmacies).

    • Gently clean around the piercing with a clean cotton swab or gauze. Avoid twisting or removing the jewelry.

    2. Hands Off

    • Only touch your piercing with clean hands when necessary. Avoid unnecessary handling to prevent irritation or infection.

    3. Avoid Harsh Products

    • Do not use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or ointments—they can dry out or irritate the piercing.

    4. Be Patient

    • Healing times vary by piercing type, but avoid changing jewelry prematurely.

    • Expect mild redness, swelling, or tenderness during healing.

    5. Protect Your Piercing

    • Avoid swimming in pools, hot tubs, or lakes until fully healed.

    • Be cautious with tight clothing, makeup, or anything that might irritate the area.

    6. Watch for Issues

    • Seek advice from your GP or call NHS24 On 111 if you notice prolonged swelling, redness, discharge, or pain—it could indicate an allergy or infection.
