Overview
In support of the Society of Hospital Medicine’s (SHM’s) mission and commitment to the SHM Community – a place to Belong, Grow, and Partner, we proudly announce the Dr. Dan Schnobrich Point-of-Care Scholarship Fund for residents and students with a commitment to pursue hospital medicine in their career.
Background
The Dr. Dan Schnobrich Point-of-Care Ultrasound Scholarship is a memorial fund in memory of an outstanding physician and point-of-care ultrasound champion in our community. Dr. Schnobrich passed away in a car accident in 2021. The SHM Minnesota Chapter has developed a memorial scholarship fund to assist residents and students with advancing their skills toward specialization in hospital medicine.
The SHM Minnesota Chapter will provide $1,000 scholarships to residents and students to receive point-of-care ultrasound training at the upcoming Minnesota Chapter Regional Point-of-Care Ultrasound Course taking place October 12-13, 2024 in Bloomington, MN. These residents and students will have demonstrated an interest in pursuing a career in hospital medicine and have articulated their vision with point-of-care ultrasound.
