Volunteer Application (BAS)

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at White River Humane Society. Please complete the following volunteer application. Please note that our existing shelter has space limitations and we may not be able to accept volunteers if we have others already scheduled on site.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
Children (age 12 or older) may volunteer alongside their parent or legal guardian.

Volunteers will be provided with instructions and operational guidelines that must be adhered to for the safety of themselves, our staff, shelter animals and visitors to the shelter. Volunteers are expected to follow the directives of WRHS shelter managers or Board Members while conducting assigned duties.

As with any animal welfare environment, there are inherent risks associated with interacting or being in proximity to animals. Volunteers are required to complete a liability waiver prior to their first volunteer shift. Individuals are not permitted to volunteer unless they have a completed waiver on file.
