The "Youth In Mission" award is given in honor and memory of Allan Bruner. Allan was instrumental in the development of Ozark Mission Project and was, for many years, the backbone of the program. Allan had a passion for serving people in need and encouraging youth and adults to understand how important mission work is as a part of their Christian life and discipleship.
To be recognized for this award a youth should demonstrate a passion for serving others in the name of Jesus Christ. Consideration will be given to participation in Ozark Mission Project and other outreach ministries. The youth should also be someone who is an active member of a local congregation and serves others in and through the ministry of that church. This youth should have a servant heart in all his or her relationships, demonstrating love of God and love of neighbor.
To be considered, youth are to be recommended for this award by a pastor, youth leader, or another church member. The deadline to submit a nomination is May 1st, 2024. A committee will determine an honoree or honorees from the list of recommendations.
The youth receiving this award will be recognized with a plaque and a gift in their honor to Ozark Mission Project from proceeds of the Allan Bruner Memorial Fund. The youth's home church will receive a $250 scholarship to OMP!
