Rotary of Glen Ellyn Community Grant Application

    2025
  • This is to advise you that the Glen Ellyn Rotary Club is once again offering local non-profit community organizations to apply for a Community Grant. The focus of the Grants will be to support an on-going program in which Rotary members may. From time to time, participate in its execution.

Members of the Rotary Club work diligently throughout the year to raise awareness funds to support the Community Grant Program as well as the awarding of Academic and Vocational Scholarships to students from Glen West and Glenbard South. A total of $15,000 in academic scholarships have been awarded to graduating seniors from each school.

Utilizing funds from a substantial bequest, the Club has awarded four, two-year “full ride,” scholarships to students pursuing a vocational Associates Degree from the College of DuPage.

The Club has $15,000 available this year for Community Grants. Last year a total of $18,000 in Grants were awarded to three local organizations, each of which had limited financial resources. Consequently, the grants awarded to them had a significant impact upon their ability to engage in a project identified by each organization in which Rotary Club members were able to participate.

A similar objective applies to this year’s Grant program. Our intention is again to make a significant impact upon an organization’s operations by increasing the amount of the Grants to three or less. The Grant must be used to fund an on-going project, in which Rotarians may “partner” in the functioning of the project by providing “hand-on” assistance from time to time.

Grant applications are due June 1, 2025
