  Requirements: Candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for this award:
  
  Scholarships are awarded to New Orleans area high school seniors who have demonstrated plans to pursue post-secondary education. This includes but not limited to enrollment at a 2 or 4 year college or university; technical or trade programs, etc.
  
  Currently enrolled (or re-enrolling) college students are also eligible to apply for RISE Scholarships.
  
  Graduating High School Senior Requirements:
  - Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
  - Minimum ACT test score of 18; or SAT combined EBRW score of 960.
  - Two letters of recommendation
  - Official transcript
  - Personal statement
  College/Graduate Student Requirements:
  - 2.75 GPA cumulative grade point average.
  - One letter of recommendation
  - Resume
  - Personal statement
