The American Institutes for Research (AIR), a nonprofit research group, is partnering with Veterans Education Success to better understand why some veterans who are eligible for GI Bill benefits have not used them yet. The purpose of the study is to support policies and programs that make it easier for veterans to use their Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits. Who can participate?
All United States veterans who served as an enlisted service member who meet the following criteria:
- Served at least 3 years active duty (either consecutively or with breaks) on or after September 11, 2001 or are otherwise eligible for full Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits.
- Have separated from the military for a year or longer.
- Have not yet used the Post-9/11 GI Bill benefit.
- Are younger than 65.
About the interviews:
- Interviews will be about an hour and scheduled at a convenient time for you.
- Interviews will be conducted virtually or by phone call.
- Everything you share will be confidential, we will not share your name or any identifying information.
- The information you share will be used to help improve the Post-9/11 GI Bill and/or other veteran supports.
