The Labor Day Art Show will be presented by the Kern River Valley Art Association (Promoter) in Kernville, CA Circle Park on August 30, 31, and September 1, 2025.
Booth locations will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Locations will be determined by the quality of your work and the quality of your display.
Insurance, if desired by you (the Exhibitor), must be obtained by the Exhibitor at their own expense. The Promoter assumes no risk, and by the acceptance of this agreement the Exhibitor and all associates expressly releases the Promoter, the Town of Kernville, and the Kern County Parks from any and all liability for any damage, injury or loss to any person or goods which may arise from the rental and occupation of booth location by the Exhibitor and agrees to hold and save the Promoters harmless of any loss or damage by reason thereof.
Promoter will not be liable for refunds or any other liabilities whatsoever for the failure to fulfill this contract due to reasons of the enclosure in which the show is to be produced, being before or during the show, destroyed by fire or other natural calamity, or by an act of God, public enemy, strikes, statures, ordinances or legal authority or any other cause beyond the Promoter’s control.
All pertinent fire codes, laws, ordinances and regulations pertaining to health, fire prevention and public safety shall be strictly obeyed.
Promoter will prohibit the installation and operation of any exhibits not meeting their approval. Promoter in their sole discretion may prohibit the conduct of any activity whatsoever which is deemed deleterious and not in the best interest of the Festival.
Absolutely no imported goods, mass manufactured goods, or goods not made by the Exhibitor will not be allowed to be sold. The only exception to this rule are legitimate findings that are necessary to make a completed product. The legitimate findings can only be sold in conjunction with the handcrafted original work of the Exhibitor. We reserve the right to remove any exhibitor from this show if the management determines that the Exhibitor have not conformed to the rules and regulations of theirs contract. Any exhibitor who is asked to leave an event because of misrepresentation in their original application/contract will forfeit their booth fees.
Each participant must supply his or her own display. Booths must include a canopy or tent; tables with storage underneath must have a table skirt. Booths should be clean and professional looking. Canopies must fit within the 10-foot by 10-foot space(s) rented. Exhibitor is not permitted to extend your selling area outside the confines of your rented space(s). Be prepared to weigh down and secure your canopy should winds pick up.
Exhibitors are required to be open for the entire festival. Packing down before 1 pm on Monday will affect Exhibitor’s future status in booking events with Promoter.
Cancellation policy: this is a firm policy. There are no exceptions to the rule.
If Exhibitor needs to cancel and it is after the deadline, please do not ask for credit or refunds. If Exhibitor must cancel an event, they must email or write Promoter immediately in order to protect Exhibitor’s future status in booking events with Promoter.
The $25 KRVAA Annual Membership Dues are non-refundable after acceptance into the event.
Booth Cancellation Policy: No refunds of paid booth fees after May 14, 2025.
This contract constitutes the entire contract between the parties and no waiver, modifications or amendments shall be valid unless written upon, or attached hereto, and shall be approved in writing by the KRVAA.
