THE PARTY TO THIS AGREEMENT IS

Fees shall be calculated at a starting rate of twenty dollars per hour of tutoring. No further fees shall be charged for traveling or preperation time of the tutor. Fees may be adjusted from time to time and shall become effective after having given the student seven days written notice.

Pre-payment shall be made at time of scheduling.

Fees are calculated according to the scheduled time agreed upon by the tutor and student. No adjustment to fees shall be made for a time due to late arrival by the student or by early termination of the session by the student. Any lost time due to the late arrival of the tutor shall not be compensated. The lesson will end at the original time. 

Change of schedule within 3 hours will incur a fee as stipulated on the website. No-shows will incur a fee of the whole session. Change of schedule must be made via email or phone only.

Group Sessions require a minimum of 3 children. If that minimum is not met, you will be alerted 2 days before the session. The group session will now become a 1hr and 15 min one-on-one session.

The tutor undertakes to do all preperation prior to lessons and to structure lessions in such a way as to optimize etime to the benefit of the student. The tutor shall keep confidential all information of the student and shall contact other parties involved in the education of the student only if given written permission by the student, or student's guardian, to do so. The tutor shall at no time be required or obliged to execute homework or assignment on behalf of the student. 

The student undertakes to assist the tutor in identifying problem areas in which the student needs specific tutoring. The student agrees to participate, cooperate, and try their best.

It is highly advised that parents do not stay. Students will concentrate and work better with the tutor when their parents are not there. Though I understand that it can make you feel better to stay, then it is asked that you observe from a distance. 

If my child breaks or damages any property as a result of their direct or indirect behavior, I hereby agree to pay for its repair or replacement. I understand that reasonable precautions will be taken but the risks associated with my minor participating in activities during a session could result in injury. I will hold harmless Read Rise Run Tutoring and Cariane Knudsen from and against all losses, claims, suits, or other legal liability and legal expenses of any nature imposed upon or brought against them by reason in the course of performing the work of providing the services that are the subject of this contract.

The tutor makes no promises or warranties with regards to a student's performance as a result of any tutoring provided. 

This tutoring contract may be terminated by either party at any time by giving the other party seven days prior written notice. 

No relaxation, indulgence, waiver or release by any party of any of the rights in terms of this agreement on one occasion shall prevent the subsequent enforcement of such rights and shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any subsequent breach of any of the terms. 

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with regard to the subject matter thereof and the parties waive the right to rely on any alleged expressed or implied provision not contained herein. Any alteration to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties. Where the student is a legal minor, the parent/guardian shall enter into this tutoring contract on behalf of the student and shall accept and agree to all the terms and conditions contained herein on behalf of the student.
