    No pets allowed.

This facility is not pet-friendly (not safe for patrons and pets alike) and as such No pets of any kind in any of TVRC facilities and buildings, pool and restroom areas.

“No animals, except for service animals*, shall be allowed in the swimming pool, wading pool, hot tub, or spa area, dressing rooms, or other parts of the enclosure.” N.J. Admin. Code § 8:26-5.4

*A “service dog” means any dog individually trained to the requirements of a person with a disability. For example, such dogs may be trained to perform minimal protection work or tasks such as pulling a wheelchair, retrieving dropped items, or alerting or assisting a person with epilepsy or another seizure disorder. The ADA does not override public health rules that prohibit dogs in swimming pools. But according to the ADA, service animals must be allowed on the pool deck and in other areas where the public can go. A service dog in the pool area is considered a reasonable ADA accommodation.

Emotional Support Pets do not fit this description; therefore, screening measures are in place to ensure that ADA compliance and pool safety is being followed. Any animals that are non-compliant will be asked to be removed from the premises by Tranquility Staff or Lifeguards on duty.

ADA Accommodations for a trained service animal to gain pool access must be registered with Tranquility Camp Pool Staff at rzapata@tranquilitycamp.org.
