Over the past few years numerous things have changed in all our lifstyles and interests. Some for the bad ... but also some for the good, especially for many, the rich personal fulfilment had by helping others.

Friend of St. Ives Rotary

INTRODUCTION

We would welcome the opportunity to share our fellowship and community service with like-minded people who, for the time, being are unable to offer the time and commitment as full members.

A Friend has a formal association with the club, which provides an avenue to participate in club activities and is not subject to the responsibilities of membership. Consequently, a Friend of Rotary is not entitled to the rights of membership, nor entitled to attend any District, National or International Rotary meetings or meetings of other Rotary clubs.

To be enrolled as a Friend of St. Ives Rotary you must be nominated by a member and the nomination approved by the Club Council. After acceptance of the nomination, the Friend will be formally welcomed at a club meeting.

We hope that, as a Friend, you will attend at least one club meeting or social event per quarter and undertake at least one voluntary fundraising or service activity each year. Meals and costs of social activities will be paid at the same rate as members.

St. Ives Rotary meets on Tuesday evenings at Slepe Hall Hotel. Friends are welcome to these meetings provided they book with the club at least 3 days in advance. Details of our meetings are published on our website.

• We welcome everyone of 30+ years of age.
  
  
• Your partners can join you at our club events and our fun social occasions too!
  
  
• You will have a really special opportunity to put forward your own suggestions to help a local charity, a special group of people, a local school, etc., that may be close to your heart.
  
  
• We hope you will do your best to help us with our events where you're available to do so.
  
  
• Simply, be aware of our St. Ives Rotary calendar on our website and see what you want to get involved in - remember, maximise your input for maximum fulfilment!
  
  
• There are no pressures to be at the weekly meetings, although you will be very welcome.

I hereby apply to become a Friend of St. Ives Rotary, subject to acceptance of my application by the Club Council, which reserves the right to decline any application without stating a reason.
