  • Volunteering offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our vibrant community and gain firsthand experience in sustainable farming practices. However, it's important to note that volunteering here encompasses a variety of roles, not all of which involve direct interaction with animals. To ensure the safety and well-being of both our volunteers and the farm's inhabitants, all prospective volunteers must participate in a comprehensive training program. This program is designed to equip volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively contribute to our operations. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer independently. In certain cases, with explicit parental permission, we may consider younger volunteers for specific tasks. It's crucial for all volunteers to have the physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, as many farm tasks require a degree of physical strength. On rare occasions, volunteers may be asked to drive as part of their duties. For these instances, volunteers under the age of 18 must have verifiable permission from their parents or legal guardians.

  • By volunteering at Hidden Bee Farm, you acknowledge and accept the terms detailed in our volunteer agreement, which specifies your roles, responsibilities, and the farm's liability. This agreement must be reviewed and agreed upon by all volunteers before beginning their work. Please be aware that the farm holds no liability for personal injuries or damages that may arise during volunteer activities that contravene our policies and safety guidelines. Your decision to volunteer is made at your own risk, and we expect all volunteers to act in a manner that ensures their own safety and that of others.

    For internal administrative purposes, we require a photo from each volunteer. This photo will be used solely within our office for identification and operational needs, and will be treated with strict confidentiality.

    Furthermore, we wish to inform you that we may, on occasion, take photographs of volunteer activities for promotional purposes. These images may be used in our brochures, social media, and other public-facing materials to showcase the vibrant community and impactful work at Hidden Bee Farm. By agreeing to volunteer with us, you consent to the use of your image in this context, contributing to the visibility and growth of our mission.
