Acworth Warriors Football & Cheer Coach Responsibilities
All Football and Cheer Coaches will abide by all requirements set forth by the Executive Board of Acworth Warriors Football & Cheer which includes the following provisions and the provisions set forth in the bylaws. If any of these rules are broken, the governing body of Acworth Warriors Football and Cheer shall have the authority to impose a penalty or remove the coach.
1. Not smoke and/or use smokeless tobacco or vaping. May not use or possess alcoholic beverages before or during any Acworth Warriors Football & Cheer function that involves interaction with players/cheerleaders. 2. Respect the decisions of the game officials on the field. Any protest or grievance will be in accordance with league rules at the appropriate time. 3. Not criticize an opposing team or its players or coaches, or their coaches, opposing team or home team fans by word of mouth or by gesture. 4. Emphasize that good athletes strive to be good students. 5. Together with league officials, be jointly responsible for the conduct and control for the team's fans, spectators, and assistant coaches. Any fan or coach who becomes a nuisance and out of control will be asked to leave. Remember, as a team coach, you are responsible for your team, and fan reaction to all situations. 6. Not use abusive or profane language at any time. 7. Not "pile it on"; not encourage their team to get a commanding lead and raise the score as high as it can. In these instances, the coach should make every effort to play every player as much as possible. 8. Not permit an ineligible player or cheerleader to participate in a game. 9. Will be required to attend and provide support for AFC events as needed by the organization. 10. Shall provide an updated background check to the Vice President prior to the beginning of the season.
