  • Please fill out the registration information below so we can best accommodate our attendees upon arrival and prepare accordingly with Salem State University. Conference registration options and payments can be made on the next page.

If you have any questions about the conference, the registration process, or any other MOBTS related matter, please contact Executive Operations Director Brandon Charpied at brandon@mobts.org or call/text at (843) 855-0301.

**NOTICE: There is a maximum capacity to on-site accommodations. Once that capacity is reached, attendees will need to find local accommodations. • Conference Itinerary Selections

Please make your conference itinerary selections below. We are aware that schedules and preferences change, thus you are not bound to these selections. However, having an accurate count of these conference items enables us to minimize waste both environmentally and financially. We appreciate your consideration of these conference itinerary items.

Also note that MOBTS will be operating in accordance with local mandates in regard to any COVID restrictions, should there be any in place come the conference. MOBTS will strive to operate as normal -- as any of our prior conferences would operate -- where no such restrictions apply. Please make note of such when considering joining us in large groups, eating, etc.

Wednesday Night Dinner & Event: MOBTS attendees will be dining on-campus on Wednesday evening as opposed to the customary off-campus meal. This is being done to maximize our ability to partake in experiencing the rich (and dark) history of Salem! Dinner will take place from ~5:30pm - 7:00pm. This will be followed by two (2) trolley tour times, each being one-hour. The first tour will pick up on campus at 7:30pm and return at 8:45pm. The second tour will take place at 9:00pm and drop off at 10:15pm. Each trolley tour time is limited to a capacity of 120. This means that once you register for a time you are committed to that time. Because of capacity restrictions, we cannot change times for you.

Simultaneous Movie Night & Jim's Place! While each tour is taking place, we will be offering a movie night and Jim's Place. The movies will show at 7:00pm and 9:15pm. The 7:00pm showing is anticipated to be a family-friendly movie. The 9:15pm movie...will not be! Both will be in the essence of the lore and fright of Salem! So grab your popcorn, a drink, and come watch a flick pre- or post-Witch tour. (Jim's Place will take place during this time as normal for those not watching the movie.)

  • Food Accommodations

Please let us know of your meal preferences and food allergies here. We strive to select food options to accommodate such needs and will do our best to provide you with suitable meals. However, please be aware that it is up to you to double-check with dining staff as to what ingredients are in any particular dish. We apologize in advance, but MOBTS cannot cater toward more specific diets such as Kosher, Keto, etc. We will do our best to accommodate those that select Vegetarian and Vegan; however, please be aware that your selections will not be as plentiful as standard offerings.

  • Attendee Information

The follow questions will assist us in developing our conference program and events, while also enabling us to see any attendance trends to further benefit future conferences and the Society as a whole.

You may leave blank any questions that do not apply to you.

  • Conference Registration Options

Please select from one of the four conference registration options listed below.

As is the norm with on-campus housing, minors are not able to reside on campus. Adult guests may do so with the purchase of a guest registration.

Guest registrations include all conference meals and acitivies except the conference sessions.

Conference registration prices will increase by $50 on May 11th.

    1. Registration with Residence Hall Accommodations
      • General: $725
      • Student / Emeritus: $600
      • Guest: $400

    2. General Conference Registration or Student/Emeritus without Residence Hall Accommodations: This option is for those that are local or will be opting for a hotel. All conference offerings beyond housing are included in this option.
      • General Commuter Registration: $615
      • Student / Emeritus Commuter Registration: $515
      • Guest: $350

    DOUBLE ROOMS

As is becoming more customary with University housing, and as MOBTS has experienced in recent years, there is no cost-benefit to MOBTS or the attendees for doubles. Universities are now charging per person, not per room, thus whether desiring a single or double room, the registration price is the same. If you desire to sleep in a double room with someone, please leave such a note in the Suitemates text box below. Note that the preferred individual must also request you to be placed in a double room together.

    REFUND POLICY

Refunds will be provided if notice is provided to Brandon Charpied (brandon@mobts.org) prior to 30 days from the start of the pre-conference (Monday of conference week). No refund can be provided at 30 days onward due to all conference expenses already having been incurred by the conference and Society. The deadline for refunds is Saturday, May 11th.

In addition, you can purchase registration for either of our Pre-Conference Workshops - the Doctoral Institute and the Early Educator Institute. These two programs require arrival by 3pm on Monday, June 5th for an opening ice breaker session. That is followed by a meet-and-greet reception with the MOBTS Board of Directors, and then an off-site dinner with your fellow workshop attendees. Housing accommodations are included, as are breakfast, lunch, and breaks the following day. The workshops themselves take place all day Tuesday up until the opening BBQ at 5:00pm. Please only register for the pre-conference if you have not received a scholarship and wish to purchase a seat in the workshop. Purchase of a pre-conference workshop must accompany a conference registration. Individuals cannot attend the pre-conference workshops without attending the general conference.

  • Conference Registration Selection & Payment

All attendees must select a conference registration option to register for the conference. Those that have been awarded scholarships may input their scholarship codes below prior to payment.
  • ***YOU MUST SELECT/CHECK WHICH REGISTRATION TYPE YOU REQUIRE!***

Failure to select a registration option will lead to a deletion of the registration form and run the risk of not having a room or confirmed registration upon arriving on campus.
