Regional Campus First Generation Scholarship
The University of Mississippi-Tupelo will award a number First Generation scholarships each year to entering undergraduate students pursuing their first four-year degree whose parents/legal guardians do not hold bachelor’s degrees. The scholarship provides $500 per semester (fall and spring only) for the first year after transfer. The recipient of a First Generation scholarship must maintain full-time enrollment (12 semester hours) at the UM-Tupelo campus, a minimum 2.0 GPA, and must enroll in EDHE 305 Transfer Student Experience during first semester of enrollment. Application priority deadline: August 15th for Fall transfers; January 15th for Spring transfers. In addition, students must submit a 300-word essay (subject below) and file the FAFSA application at www.studentaid.gov.
