LOSTIN Origin Stories

What's been lost in your city? Let's find it again!

Lostin Origin Stories are our way of honoring the past while forging a path to a more hopeful future.

E4 Youth trains and employs college-aged youth called Digital Docents that serve as content creators and community ambassadors. As part of What Once Was (WOW), they collect oral histories, develop and lead immersive tours, participate in community events, and provide direct support to K - 8 schools to help students embrace their stories and acquire the digital skills needed to thrive.

Instructions: 

We all have places of signifigance in our lives. It could be for good, bad or bitter sweet reasons. Take a moment to think about some of these places for you. Visit them Google Maps in Street View Mode (Instructions inluded below). Once you've settled on a location, fill out the questions below.

You'll need: 

• URL of your location from Google Street View
• Up to 5 pics related to your location
• Up to 5 minutes of video footage of your talking about your location 

Our Digital Docents will review your submission, edit and integrate it into the WOW platform. Once it's added we'll notify you via email and tag you via social media.  

Instructions for pasting the URL (web adress) of your location:

1) Visit your location on Google Maps

2) Go into Street View mode by clicking and dragging the little yellow person icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen and placing them on a blue line. Adjust the view of your location to your liking.

3) Copy the URL (web address) of your location.

4) Paste the URL into the box below.  

That's it! Hit the Submit button below and you're done.
