How many barn cats are you interested in adopting?
What termperment of cat(s) are you interested in adopting? Temperament cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate any preferences.
Feral (will not be able to touch or interact with and will likely not be seen very often).
Semi Feral (you will see, but cannot get close to).
Friendly, but doesn't do well being kept indoors.
Any preferences besides temperament? Male/female, coloring, coat length, etc.
Tell us more about your location: What type of housing/shelter is available? Is it heated/cooled? Prepped for cat safety?
Have you in the past or present had an issue with coyotes on or near your property? If so, how was or will it be handled? Coyotes are frequently a major threat to barn cats, be it during breeding season or on a day-to-day basis.
Have you ever had barn cats? If so, do you still have them and how much vetting have they had (spay/neuter, vaccines)? If you no longer have them, please elaborate as to what happened.
If one of your barn cats becomes ill or injured, are you willing to trap them and take them to the vet?
Yes
No
Yes, but I will need assistance with this.
Do you have any other pets that would possibly interact with the barn cat(s)? If so, please explain below including breed, age/sex, spay/neuter status, where they reside primarily (indoor/outdoor or both), etc. If they are dogs, are they cat friendly? Do they have a high prey drive? The cat's safety is of the upmost importance.
Are you able to provide a secure confinement area for the cat(s) to acclimate to their new home? This is mandatory for a minimum of 4 weeks, no exceptions. If so, please describe the area.
Are you willing and able to provide daily care for the barn cat(s) during their 4 week acclimation period? This includes providing fresh, clean water and food daily, and cleaning their litter box.
Are you able and willing to provide fresh, clean water and food daily to the cat(s) for the remainder of their life in your care? Cats cannot live off of the rodents that they kill. They require the same care that indoor cats are afforded.
Yes
No
