In this two-day workshop, we'll be creating a custom bodice block, also known as a sloper.
A sloper is a foundational pattern that serves as the base for developing a wide range of garment designs.
On Day 1, we'll draft the bodice using your specific measurements. Day 2 will focus on fitting the muslin and making necessary pattern adjustments. If time allows, we'll also draft a sleeve.
No prior pattern making experience is required, but you should have a basic understanding of machine sewing.
What You'll Learn:
- How to take accurate body measurement
- Introduction to pattern making tools and techniques
- Drafting the front and back bodice sloper
- Cutting and assembling a muslin for fitting purposes
- Making alterations to ensure a perfect fit
- Completing the final sloperAll materials are included for this class.
No cancellations allowed. If you need to reschedule must advice 72 hours ahead of time so we can give the spot to another person.
