    The proposal should be completed after all approvals have been given within the Teaching Body and a supervisor has been nominated, along with their approval for this proposal to be submitted. This form will be received by the Research Committee for approval.

    Please ensure this is submitted two weeks before the next Research Committee meeting. Dates for the research committee can be found on the AUCD Calendar

    Tip: Prepare your proposal using a word document, and then copy and paste your responses into the fields below. You may need to format some of your responses on this form for structure (e.g., add space, indents and numbering), such as the Table of Contents and Bibliography. Please answer all sections.

  • General Guidelines:

    • The research question should be a clear, focused and answerable question - not merely a statement or description of a topic.
    • The methodology needs to describe the specific method that will be used to answer your research question. For instance, if using a literature review, state what type this is (e.g., traditional, thematic analysis, content analysis). The method should also refer to any parameters used in the selection of literature, types of databases, key texts or authors, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and so on.
    • The use of human participants will require an ethics clearance. Consideration should therefore be given to the practicality of recruiting participants and the collection of data, keeping in mind the paper length and duration of study. If relevant to the research, students may wish to consider the use of existing data, such as from the Australia Data Archive or other similar data repositories, for example: https://dataverse.ada.edu.au
