The Untitled Space invites artists to submit their artwork for consideration for upcoming exhibits, special projects, art fairs, and online opportunities. This is a general open call to submit proposals to the gallery. The gallery will contact you if your work aligns with an upcoming exhibition or if we are interested to see more artwork for consideration for special projects or sales.

The Untitled Space is a contemporary art gallery located in the heart of New York’s Tribeca Arts District on Lispenard Street. Founded in 2015 by Indira Cesarine, the gallery presents a boundary-pushing program of exhibitions featuring both emerging and established artists working across painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video, and performance.

Recognized for its commitment to socially engaged art, The Untitled Space champions diverse perspectives. Through exhibitions, art fairs, public programming, benefit auctions, and special projects, the gallery fosters dialogue around identity, equality, and cultural change while providing a platform for experimentation, critical discourse, and new ideas.

Since its founding, the gallery has presented over 100 exhibitions and featured the work of more than 600 artists, establishing itself as a dynamic hub for contemporary art and a catalyst for meaningful cultural exchange. The gallery has produced solo exhibitions and special presentations with artists including Sarah Maple, Alison Jackson, Leah Schrager, Kat Toronto aka Miss Meatface, Grace Graupe-Pillard, Robin Tewes, and the Estate of Fahren Feingold, alongside large-scale thematic group exhibitions such as UPRISE, REBEL, INNOVATE, BODY BEAUTIFUL, and IRL: Investigating Reality.

Public art initiatives and special projects have included collaborations with Artsy, SaveArtSpace, The Watermill Center, and presentations at SPRING/BREAK Art Show and SCOPE Art Fair, among others, extending the gallery’s programming beyond traditional exhibition spaces into the public realm and international contexts.

Artists and exhibitions from The Untitled Space have been featured in leading international publications, including Vogue, Forbes, Newsweek, W Magazine, Dazed, Artnet, and The New York Times, among others.

SUBMITTED WORKS

By submitting this form you confirm all works are original, made by you, and do not infringe on the copyright of another artist or entity.
- Submissions are open to all artists, national and international, working in all visual mediums.
- We do not accept walk-ins or any unsolicited artwork shipped by mail.
- Artwork image sizes must be minimum 1000 pixels - maximum 2000 pixels JPEGS (only). Maximum file size: 1MB
- Each jpeg must be titled with “Artist Name–Title of Artwork–Year”
- Each submission of work or series of works should include a description of the art and mediums used, as well as a short statement on the subject of inspiration for the art.
- Once submitted you will receive a confirmation email of your application.
- Submitting your work does not guarantee an exhibition.
- Artists will be notified if their work is of interest within 4-8 weeks of submitting a proposal, and if we need to see more artwork, we will contact you. If your proposal is not accepted, your work will remain on file for future exhibition opportunities as they arise. Please note that this is not a consultation fee, and any feedback on the proposal is at the gallery's discretion.

Provide more info on your artwork for consideration below. Artists may submit up to 5 images for the $50 Proposal Review Fee.

For additional artwork submissions, there is a $10 fee per image up to a maximum of 10 artwork images total per proposal.

Images jpegs must be formatted: “Artist Name–Title of Artwork–Year”

Submitted artwork image sizes must be minimum 1000 pixels - maximum 2000 pixels JPEGS (only). Maximum file size: 1MB

*Please make sure to resize your images before uploading or the form will not submit. It is recommended to use Photoshop or a similar program to resize the images.

- I understand submitting my artwork for review does not guarantee an exhibition.

- The Untitled Space will contact artists who submit proposals regarding any questions or if we require additional artwork images.

- Please allow 4-8 weeks for feedback regarding your proposal - if we are interested in the artwork or exhibition we will contact you. If you do not hear from us, your work will remain on file for future exhibition opportunities as they arise. Please note that this is not a consultation fee, and any feedback on the proposal is at the gallery's discretion.

- I agree to pay the total application proposal fee below.

- There are no refunds on exhibition proposal fees.

Once you have completed the form and successfully uploaded artwork images, press submit to finalize your application. You will be forwarded to the payment page to process the application fee. Applications that are incomplete including payment of the application fee will not be reviewed or considered.

The non-refundable proposal fee helps the gallery cover costs that directly affect our ability to create a space that includes emerging, underrepresented, and/or marginalized artists and not just a commercially focused gallery, and additionally supports our non-profit initiative Art4Equality. Thank you for your understanding.

If you have problems submitting your form, please double-check that all image files, PDFs or documents uploaded are maximum 1MB each. Also please make sure all files are correctly named according to the requirements noted above.
