    Summer Theatre Workshop

    Dates: July 7-11, 2025 | 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. | Monday-Friday 

    Grades: 9-12
    (The grade the student is in for the 2025-256 school year)

    Cost: $200

    This week long workshop is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore and enhance their performing arts skills in a fun and supportive environment. The workshop includes classes in acting, improv, movement, stage combat, and more. Students have the opportunity to work with Phillip Webster, Thomas More director of theatre and the artistic director of Southbank Shakespeare as well as experts in stage combat, improv and musical theatre. The weeklong workshop will conclude with a performance of a student created short play on July 11th @ 4:30pm.  

    Cancellation policy: A refund will be offered, less a $25 fee, for cancellations more than 14 days before start date, otherwise full tuition is forfeit. 

    Students are expected to bring lunch and/or snacks every day.

    We, the undersigned, for ourselves, our heirs and executors, waive, release and forever discharge Thomas More University and the Thomas More Theater Summer Workshop, its staff, employees and representatives from all rights and claims for damages, injury or loss to person or property which may occur during participation in the workshop activities or while at the workshop.  


    We certify that the applicant is in good physical health and has permission to participate in the Thomas More Theater Summer Workshop and hereby authorize the employees and agents of said workshop to act according to their best judgement in any situation requiring medical attention. All costs incurred are the responsibility of the parent/guardian. A copy of this authorization shall be considered as valid and effective as the original.  


    Participant irrevocably transfers and assigns to Thomas More University her/his entire right, title and interest, in and to all materials created in connection with the Summer Theater Workshop including use of Participant’s name, likeness, voice, and biographical information in or in connection with the Materials. Participant also irrevocably transfers and assigns to TMU all copyrights in the Materials arising in any jurisdiction throughout the world. Participant irrevocably authorizes Thomas More University to publicly perform, exhibit, broadcast, record in any medium now existing or hereafter created including electronic media, edit, create derivative works from, exploit, or otherwise use the Materials and permit others to use the Materials. This authorization is perpetual throughout the world and specifically includes use in TMU's marketing and fundraising efforts. Participant shall not be entitled to compensation for use of the Materials. This Release shall be construed in accordance with the law of the State of Kentucky without giving effect to its rules concerning conflict of laws. Any portion of this Release deemed unlawful or unenforceable by a court shall be stricken without any effect on the enforceability of the Release as a whole.  
      
    Photo Content Release: Participant has read and fully understands this Release and understands that she/he has given up substantial rights by agreeing to it. Participant certifies that she/he has clicked agree under her/his own free will and, if over the age of 18, is suffering under no legal disability. If Participant is under the age of 18, this release must be agreed to by Participant’s parent or legal guardian, who gives this release and authorization on behalf of Participant and Parent.
