Eco Couture Vegas is an engaging fashion event that brings together students, emerging designers, and fashion enthusiasts to partake in a captivating fashion repurposing design competition, enlightening educational sessions on sustainable fashion practices, and an exquisite fashion show featuring donated couture items up for auction – all aimed at promoting responsible design, extending the lifecycle of garments, and advancing a greener future for the fashion industry. The event serves as a dynamic platform that fosters creativity, sustainability, and education within the fashion community.
As part of our initiative, each selected participant will receive a $100 gift card to shop at Goodwill, allowing them to handpick materials and breathe new life into previously loved items by turning thrifted treasures into fashionable masterpieces.

TIMELINE:
March 1–14: Accepting submissions.
March 17: Participating designers to be selected and notified.
March 17–March 31: Selected designers to shop for materials at Goodwill. Photos and videos of shopping required for social media and marketing purposes.
April 1–18: Create design.
April 18: Design submissions are due.
April 24–29: Social media competition.
April 30, 3:30 PM: Call time for designers.
April 30, 6-8 PM: Eco Couture Vegas event (participants must be present). Winners announced at event.
