MBCA will award three $1000 scholarships to support college or university enrollment for three Morongo Basin students who have a strong interest in environmental and conservation issues. Any major or degree program will be considered, with a preference for STEAM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics). Among the three scholarships we expect to award one to a female student and one to an “arts” major in memory of local artist and conservationist Steve Rieman. Applicants must demonstrate in their application essay how environmental conservation relates to their educational and career goals.
