On September 16th, 2025, BC Lung Foundation will be visiting Gold River and hosting a Town Hall event as a part of Carter's Project to distribute air quality monitors and provide education and tools to safeguard your lung health.
Carter’s Project is an initiative in honour of 9-year old Carter Vigh, who passed away in 2023 from an asthma attack exacerbated by wildfire smoke in 100 Mile House. Carter's Project funds the free distribution of air quality monitors throughout British Columbia.
Please fill out the fields below if you live in Gold River, Tsa'Xana, Tahsis, Campbell River, or the surrounding area and are interested in attending the Town Hall and receiving a free indoor air quality monitor.
*Please note that depending on interest, your application will be put into a lottery.
Through Carter's Project, outdoor air quality monitors will also be installed in public spaces in Gold River for open access to real-time air quality information.
