The information provided by you in the Application Form is a source of information which will be used by Community Law Waikato to assist in considering your suitability to the position for which you are applying.

The Application Form includes a declaration with respect to the accuracy and truth of the information provided by you.

The collection, use, and storage of any information will be in accordance with The Privacy Act 2020 and the CLW Privacy Statement.

Caseworkers

Our volunteer caseworker programme is very popular, and because there are limited spaces available the process is very competitive. We prioritise 1st, 2nd, & 3rd year law students when considering applications. However, we may consider 4th year law students with a passion for social justice. If that describes you, please continue your application.

Once you have submitted your application it will be assessed by our management team and you may be contacted to arrange a brief interview.

If accepted into the programme (or you’ve made it to the top of the waiting list) a comprehensive training module will commence. It usually takes around 4 to 5 weeks (a few hours a week). Availability during business hours is essential. The training involves observation of at least two client interviews, then at least two interviews where you are observed. You will be guided through the training by our lawyers.
