An Environmental Science Paid Summer Internship Program

The Cross College Alliance (CCA) is sponsoring the sixth year the Environmental Discovery Awards Program (EDAP) this summer to enrich the learning experiences of CCA students who are enrolled in or have a demonstrated interest in science and environmental studies and/or programs. EDAP will provide student awardees with high-quality, paid experiential learning internships.
Member organizations of the Science and Environment Council of Southwest Florida as well as other organizations are offering exceptional summer field experience internship opportunities to students enrolled in CCA institutions who are selected to participate in the 2024 Environmental Discovery Awards Program.
Interns will work no more than 29 hours per week for a duration of up to 10 weeks from late May through mid August. Interns will be paid at the rate of no less than $15 per hour.
Interns will be required to attend a program opening reception (in late May) to meet organizations and donors and an end of the progam celebration (in mid August) during which they will share a synopsis of their internship experience.

NOTE: Students may apply for more than one EDAP internship opportunity, however students must submit a seperate application for each internship for which they apply with unique responses to application questions that are pertinent to the particular internship opportunity.
