What We're Looking For
- Passion for working in partnership with communities to make a positive change;
- Flexibility to work in different areas and adapt to changing circumstances;
- Growth mindset and eagerness to try new things;
- Interest in connecting with and learning from other students and partners across the state;
- Willingness to be an ambassador for the Fellowship on campus and beyond.
- Ability to commit to serving 450 service hours (12-15 hours per week).
What You Would Serve
- The Allan Hancock College Corps Fellowaship will go from August 2024-May 2025.
What You Would Do
Fellows will work within organizations focusing in areas of K-12 schools, Food Insecurity or Climate Action to build healthier and more equitable communities across California. They will do this in a variety of ways. Some examples include:
- Conducting outreach and educational initiatives for climate action organizations;
- Contributing to and assisting basic-needs organizations;
- Engaging with local schools to facilitate after-school activities, such as athletics and tutoring programs;
- Stocking and distriubuting food for local families dependent on food banks and pantries.

- A living allowance paid monthly throughout service term, plus an Education Award paid upon completion of 450 service hours. Total financial benefit up to $10,000;
