Part Three: Self-Reflection
At the Freedom Project, we use four guiding principles to orient us to our work: Love, Education, Action and Discipline. For this prompt, you'll only reflect on love and discipline, but expect in interviews to discuss the rest. [150-200 words]
Love
We respect and care for ourselves, our peers and our community. We celebrate our experiences and skills that add to the community. We engage in the collective struggle toward liberation for everyone.
How do you engage in self and community care?
Discipline
We must exercise discipline with ourselves and in relationships with others. We use restorative justice as a framework to address harm and create healing. We seek to transform the social causes of harm that exist in our world.
How do you handle conflict when it is emotionally difficult? How do you challenge yourself to push through those uncomfortable feelings? How can we show love to support you through that?
