Milestone Public Art Project Application
  • Milestone Public Art Project Application

Ends on Sun, March 31, 2024 2:00 PM
  • The Garrett County Arts Council (GCAC) manages the Grantsville Arts & Entertainment District. The Grantsville A&E District has received a Maryland State Arts Council Public Arts Across Maryland planning grant. The purpose of this project in Phase 1 is to install 4 replica historical milestones along the National Road in the Town of Grantsville. The call for artists is for the commission to paint/decorate the milestones and thus create a historically inspired public art project for the community and visiting tourists to enjoy.

  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
  • Examples of Applicants Artwork

Please provide 5 - 10 digital images representative of the work to be included in the exhibition. Files should be named to correspond to the image list. Entries must be JPG or JPEG files, each no larger than 2 MB. If submitting time-based work, work must be submitted as .avi, .wav, .mov, or .m4a files. GCAC has limited technology for use in the gallery, so any special technology needs should be addressed in the proposal. The images should be named using the “LastName_FirstName_01.jpg” format, where the numbers (01, 02, 03, etc…) correspond directly to your image script.
