CERTIFICATION:
By signing this application, the Applicant agrees to all of the following standards, statements and other matters:
I certify that I am duly authorized to execute this certification on behalf of all individuals in my parade entry that are the subject of this application.
I know that the activity assosciated with the La Grange Pet Parade ("the Event") is a potentially hazardous activity and that I am my parade entry should not participate in the Event unless medically able to do so.
I acknowledge, and agree to assume full responsibility for, all risks associated with my and my parade entry’s participation in the Event, including without limitation falls; contact with other participants; effects of the weather; traffic; conditions of the route or road; and all other risks whether known or unknown.
In consideration of my entry to the Event, I and my parade entry hereby fully and forever release, waiver, discharge, and covenant not to sue, for myself or for my heirs, executors, or administrators, the La Grange Pet Parade, Pet Parade Charities, and the Village of La Grange, and all sponsors and individuals associated with the Event and their representatives, successors, and assigns (individually a “Released Party” and collectively the “Released Parties”) regarding any and all claims, demands, damages, rights or actions or causes of action present or future whether the Claims are known, anticipated, or unanticipated resulting from or arising out of the Event for any property damage, personal injury, illnesses, loss, liability, damages, or costs suffered by me in connection with the Event including without limitation pre-Event and post-Event activities regardless of where they are conducted.
I and my parade entry further hereby agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the La Grange Pet Parade, Pet Parade Charities, and the Village and its officials, officers, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all (A) liability or claim of liability, (B) loss or expense including without limitation defense costs and legal fees, and (C) claims for damages of whatsoever character, nature, and kind, whether directly or indirectly arising from or connected with an act or omission of the Applicant or of an agent, invitee, guest, employee, vendor, or anyone in the Applicant’s parade entry.
I agree to abide by any decision of an Event official relative to my or my parade entry’s ability to participate or continue to participate in the Event.
