  • Your Hands. Your Heart. Your Way.

How will you volunteer with us?

  • Available Volunteer Opportunities:

Grief Support Group Facilitator - Grief Support Group Facilitators play a vital role in creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space for individuals who are navigating loss. Facilitators work in teams of 2+ to guide peer-led group sessions according to an available curriculum, encouraging open dialogue and mutual support among participants in developmentally appropriate groups (ages 3 to adult). Volunteers in this role DO NOT provide therapy or counseling but offer presence, empathy, and structure. Facillitators MUST receive certification from our 20-hour Grief Facilitator Training, held quarterly. Availability requirements are within the time frame of 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM weekdays; support groups vary in meeting schedule and duration.

Room Helper - TCFH Room Helpers are paired with at least one trained Facilitator to support them in carrying out group activities including engaging in discussion, helping build rapport between participants, and assisting with any activities. Availability requirements are within the time frame of 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM weekdays; support groups vary in meeting schedule and duration.

Weighted Bear Sewing Team - Our Weighted Bears are a tangible way for anyone affected by a loss in pregnancy and/or infancy to fill their aching, heavy arms. As a volunteer Bear Maker, you will weigh bears and sew them with care, each story honored in their making. These bears become cherished keepsakes that offer a sense of presence and connection. Our Bear Team currently meets Tuesday mornings.

Special Events - Whether individually or as a group, The Collective for Hope plans multiple community events during the year where we always need volunteer assistance. Whether it is for our family-friendly, community events like Remembrance Day in the summer or HEALs to the Pavement in the fall, or fundraising events like Comfort Food Classic in the spring, we would love to have you join us! Availability requirements are based on event and communicated in advance.

Miscellanous - The Collective for Hope prides itself on being a resource to all, and as such, our opportunities might look different throughout the year. Whether you are interested in tabling as a representive of us in community fairs, or looking to help internally, we always intend to honor your interests, capacity, and passions as a volunteer.
