Dear Cricket Lovers,

We are thrilled to announce that our annual Northshore School District cricket tournament will be held in April 2025 after the spring break. This year, we have made some exciting changes designed to enhance the experience for all participants. For the first time, the tournament will be partly student-led, with a dedicated group of students on the Student Cricket Committee guiding the process.

Key Changes for This Year:

* High School and Middle School Games Will Be Separate: High school teams will only compete against other high school teams, and middle school teams will compete amongst themselves. This ensures that players face opponents at their own level.

* High School Teams Based on Schools: Players will now be grouped by their school, allowing them to team up with their classmates and experience the tournament in a more community-centered way. For example, players from Bothell High School will be on the Bothell team.

* Middle School Teams are formed by us: Just like last year, teams will be randomized and formed by us.

* Tournament Format: The competition will feature group play, followed by semifinals, leading up to an exciting FINAL. Teams will have the opportunity to play multiple games before advancing to the next stage, ensuring everyone gets plenty of time to play!

The dates of the torunament are: 4/16, 4/18, 4/23, 4/25, 4/30, 5/2 at Skyview Middle School on the baseball field and turf field from 5-8 p.m.

We can’t wait to see everyone on the field and look forward to an unforgettable tournament experience. More details will follow as we get closer to the start date.

Cricket Informed Consent Form

This form must be completed by a parent/guardian. A signature is required.
Kick-off & Coaching: 30 minutes prior to every session
Tournament Dates: April 16 - May 2
Tournament Locations: All games will take place at Skyview Middle School on the baseball field and the turf fields
Game Time: 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.
Equipment for Hard Tennis Ball: Students must bring their own personal safety gear. Personal equipment will not be provided by the district. For safety reasons, students who do not have the appropriate safety gear will not be allowed to play hard tennis ball.
Equipment for Taped Tennis Ball: No equipment necessary

Although Northshore School District attempts to ensure the safety of all participants involved in district activities, participation in this voluntary and optional after-school cricket tournament comes with inherent risks of injury to persons and property. Participation involves a degree of physical activity which includes but is not limited to running on an outdoor field, swinging a cricket bat, encountering flying balls, and collision with other players.

Northshore School District is neither responsible nor liable for accidents, injuries or medical expenses that may occur due to participation in this voluntary and optional after-school activity. By allowing your child to attend, you understand and agree to the following:
- Northshore School District does not provide accidental medical insurance coverage for this activity and its participants.
- In the event it becomes necessary for school district staff to obtain emergency care for a participant, 911 may be called.
- Participants and their families are responsible for all expenses incurred because of an accident, injury, illness, or unforeseen circumstance that may arise due to participation in this activity.
