What does freedom mean to you? We're gathering real stories from people who have benefited from pretrial freedom in the growing number of places expanding pretrial freedom. The goal: To cut through the fear and lies, and introduce the world to the everyday people experiencing freedom. Join us: This won't take long. We will endeavor to review and reach out to all those who have submitted stories. Our goal is to launch the Archive in Late 2024.

This resource is intended solely for advocates who share the interest of advocating in court or supporting in-court legal advocacy to challenge confinement, conditions of confinement, and/or other practices in jails and/or courts.

Consent: By submitting your resource(s), you give consent to Zealous to post, organize, summarize, and analyze the content online for use by other advocates and to support a range of advocacy strategies to make the legal system fairer, safer, and healthier, including improving conditions for those incarcerated until their release, advocating for release of as many people as possible, and pushing for adequate services and support upon release. Once submitted, you will not have the ability to directly edit or delete your materials, or edit or delete the summaries and analysis provided on the site, but you can always contact Zealous if you have any questions or concerns about how the content you submit may be or is being used: asia@zealo.us.

Scope of Consent: The license and consent you give to the Zealous to post, organize, summarize, and analyze the materials and resources you submit is nonexclusive. You can — and we encourage you — to submit and share the content elsewhere as you please with no restriction.

Attribution: While we hope that Zealous allows for and facilitates conversation between advocates from around the country in a range of practice areas, the project will not use the names of those submitting the content or provide your contact information unless you, the submitter, expressly gives permission in the submission form (where there is an opportunity to so clearly indicate) for the project to share. Zealous will also not suggest any relationship to the submitters, other than providing credit in the form of attribution to the extent agreed to.

Responsibility for content: The purpose of Zealous is only to collect, organize, summarize, and analyze the collective advocacy efforts from around the country in order to support advocates who are doing advocacy work.
