2025 Senior Trip Attendee Application
We are excited to offer our Class of 2025 Beacon Hill Senior Trip. We are again offering a trip led by Mr. Douglas Bond to Italy as the culmination of the Beacon Hill experience. We understand that there may be students unable to attend, but we hope for this to be the rare exception. This trip is an important culmination of our Rhetoric School experience.

This Attendee Application serves as the commitment to attend and pay for the BHCA Class of 2025 Beacon Hill Senior Trip.

DATES of Trip: April 10, 2025 - April 17, 2025 (subject to change if necessary), but most likely final dates now.

This year's trip cost is $2000 paid to Mr. Douglas Bond of Scriptorium Press plus airfare at time of booking due to the variable nature of airfare, roundtrip airfare is estimated to cost between $1000-$2000. (We are hoping to book a $1000 fare, but it won't be finalized until this form is received and fares are locked in.) If a cancellation is needed, there is a $500 non-refundable deposit = $200 deposit is non-refundable to Mr. Bond, and a $300 non-refundable payment for airfare & trip fees paid to the school (the window of this is per Mr. Bond's Contract, when we get closer to the trip, there will be a larger non-refundable fee). These deposits help to cover transportation & other deposits, airfare will be recouped to you as a credit in the passenger's name, or in whatever manner the airline refunds tickets, all additional refunds will be based on dates of cancellation and situation. This form must be completed per person in attendance.

I understand, I must provide my Passport information to Hilary Erickson by January 1, 2025.

I understand that as part of the enrollment the information submitted will also be used for the school trip. These forms consist of permissions to attend activities and events as specified. Travel in the form of car, plane, and bus, train, Metro and walking will occur.

I / We understand that any travel currently has inherent risks including exposure to Covid-19. I/We understand that all efforts will be made to ensure the safety of our students and chaperones traveling with us. I/We recognize that the school is not responsible for any illness or injury that may occur due to the normal course of travel.

I/We understand that regulations and restrictions are constantly in flux and as such, plans may be changed, and a non-refundable deposit may be required, if Beacon Hill Classical Academy is unable to recoup all of the monies paid out for the Class of 2025 Senior Trip.

Please have attendance forms completed by the attendee. Each attendee, whether student or chaperone, must complete a form.

BHCA Application Due by July 30, 2024 - if selecting 5-month payment plan.

Flights will be Billed through FACTS after payments have been completed to Mr. Bond. Estimated approx $1000-$1500. 2 payments in March, 2025 and May, 1015 (with fundraising funds credited towards the last payment).

In the past, we have allowed families to choose to stay in Europe longer with their student. Parents who are attending, or parents may meet their student at the end of the trip. Please choose whether you want a Round-trip ticket for our trip dates, or if you want a One-Way ticket and will purchase your own Return flight. If you are staying, I will check with you before flights are finalized.

Beacon Hill Classical Academy Medical Authorization for Field Trip Event and Travel: The Beacon Hill Classical Academy Senior Trip 2025 visiting Italy and other European cities and US cities for layovers. For the Dates of : Thursday, April 10, 2025 to Thursday, April 17, 2025. I/We understand that the school will provide adult supervision and take reasonable precautions to provide a safe environment for students on this field trip. I also recognize that there are risks to travel and Beacon Hill Classical Academy cannot guarantee my child's (or chaperone's) safety. Permission is granted for my enrolled student / attending adult chaperone, at Beacon Hill Classical Academy, to be given appropriate medical care in the case of an emergency or life-threatening situation, when circumstances are such that it is impractical or unreasonable to obtain my consent. However, I understand that the school will contact me as soon thereafter as is reasonable. In such cases, I will assume responsibility for the cost of those related emergency medical services. Appropriate Dress:

Please make wise choices regarding clothing. It should be neat and not torn. Good walking shoes.

In Italy to go into churches - girls must have shoulders covered and dresses must cover their knees.

Luggage: 1 Carry-on Suitcase 21" or smaller, and 1 backpack/ personal bag

Suggested a RFID passport pouch you can wear constantly.
