About the Event: The Hampton Cup Regatta is the East Coast’s Premier Inboard Hydroplane Race and has been running since 1926. We host an average of 10,000 spectators over the race weekend.
Location: Mill Creek adjacent to Ft. Monroe. Vendors will be setup along the Mercury Blvd. Bridge.
Event Date: September 21st and 22nd, 2024.
Space Size: Each event space will be 20' X 20' Each vendor is responsible for their own tent, table and chairs.
Time: Vendors may begin coming onto the bridge to set up beginning at 7am on Saturday and Sunday. The bridge opens at 10:00AM to the public. Vendors will be asked to move cars by 09:30AM. Racing starts at 11:00AM and ends at approximately 5:00PM. Please keep in mind the end time may be later as the weather conditions may delay the race.
Cost: $100.00 per 20' x 20' space. There is not an additional charge for electricity. The price remains the same regardless of participation on one or both days of the event.
Security: Overnight security is provided on Friday night and Saturday night. Tents may be secured and left overnight.

Application Deadline: August 15th, 2024. Vendors will be notified by 8/30/24 of acceptance. Any payments due must be submitted by September 10th, 2024.

Insurance Requirements:
Non-Food Vendors: Insurance is not required for non-food vendors.
FOOD VENDORS: A minimum of $1,000,000 public liability and naming Hampton Cup Regatta, and City of Hampton as additional insureds. Along with a Copy of Insurance, you MUST include an Endorsement Page that lists 'City of Hampton, 22 Lincoln Street, Hampton, VA 23669' as additional insured. A current copy of your 2024 Health Permit is required.
PRE-PACKAGED FOOD VENDORS: A minimum of $1,000,000 public liability and naming Hampton Cup Regatta, and City of Hampton as additional insureds. Along with a Copy of Insurance, you MUST include an Endorsement Page that lists 'City of Hampton, 22 Lincoln Street, Hampton, VA 23669' as additional insured. A current copy of the 2024 health permit for the kitchen the products are produced in is required in order to obtain application approval.
All insurance forms and health permits must be submitted with the application in order for your application to be approved. These requirements are NON-NEOGTIABLE, failure to provide the required documentation will result in your application being denied.
You will be notified of your application status once it has been reviewed, and you will receive an email providing you with payment instructions.
Additional Notes:
*No RED tents or large red displays are allowed on the bridge. At the speeds the racers are going by the bridge they may confuse a red tent for a red flag which means all STOP.
*Food Vendors should contact the City of Hampton Health Department at 757-727-1140 to get temporary permit for City of Hampton. (Note: The HCR will obtain a promoter’s permit for the event so a business license is not necessary.)
