  • Conditions for Receipt of Merit-Based Grant-in-Aid

    I understand that to qualify for this financial aid, I must

    • meet the admission requirements of John Melvin Christian College
    • meet and maintain the eligibility requirements for financial aid established by the USCAA and John Melvin Christian College
    • abide by the Athletic Department’s academic standards program as set forth in the student-athlete handbook; 
  • Reduction or Cancellation of Grant-in-Aid

    I am aware that the amount of this aid may be immediately reduced or canceled during the term of this award if:

    • I do not complete this agreement and all application requirements within 14 days of this agreement date.
    • I become academically ineligible (for example, by carrying less than 12 applicable semester credits);
    • I give false information on my application, letter of intent or, this financial aid agreement;
    • I engage in serious misconduct that brings disciplinary action from JMCC
    • I voluntarily withdraw from the sport for personal reasons prior to the first competition in my sport; or
    • I do not meet the “conditions for receipt of grant-in-aid” outlined above.

    I am also aware that this aid must be reduced or canceled if:

    • I sign a professional sports contract for this sport;
    • I accept money for playing in an athletic contest;
    • I agree to be represented by an agent; or
    • I receive other aid that applies to my individual limit.
  • MORALS CLAUSE:  Any JMCC student shall not commit any act or do anything which might reasonably be considered: (i) to be immoral, deceptive, scandalous, or obscene; or (ii) to injure, tarnish, damage, or otherwise negatively affect the community and/or the reputation and goodwill associated with John Melvin Christian College. If the student is accused of any act involving moral or ethical issues, dishonestly, theft or misappropriation, under any law, or any act which casts an unfavorable light upon its association with the community and/or the University or the student is accused of performing or committing any act which could adversely impact the University programs, services, or reputation, JMCC shall have the right to terminate this contract upon fifteen (15) days written notice specifying the reason, within which period the student may cure such offense. The determination of whether and to what extent the offense is cured shall be made by the University at its sole discretion.

    JMCC requires a $50 non-refundable application to begin the enrollment process.
