    ***FBCWS would desire you have the below qualifications; however, not having one or more of the desired qualifications does not immediately disqualify you from interviewing.*** 

     

    ·         A Proven Relationship with Jesus Christ – NON-NEGOTIABLE!

    ·         Youth Ministry Degree, currently enrolled to obtain such degree, or Bible                knowledge obtained from direct mentorship of person/persons in positions              of Church Leadership.

    ·         Previous youth ministry experience is an advantage.

    ·         Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

    ·         Proficient Understanding of the Bible.

    ·         Proficient understanding of challenges and needs of young people.

    ·         Excellent computer skills, and proficiency with social media.

    ·         A sincere and fervent love of young people.

    ·         An upstanding reputation showing you have the ability to lead by example.  

     

    Position pays an annual salary of $25,000.00

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    • Work with pastor, church leadership, committees, and church council in planning, evaluating, and coordinating all youth ministries of the church.
    • Assist youth volunteers with special training projects to better equip them for youth services.
    • Coordinate and advise the use of youth materials, equipment, supplies, and space by youth groups with all church organizations.
    • Plan and direct youth group Bible studies, activities, and social interactions.
    • Plan and direct youth fellowships, retreats, and mission trips.
    • Conduct weekly Bible studies.
    • Coordinate youth liability releases along with successful attempts to foster a working relationship with youth participant parents.
    • Be available to counsel youth and parents as needed.
    • Develop relationships with local school officials and be available to speak and/or visit students in the schools.
    • Remain informed of current trends in youth education programs and youth culture.
    • Be ready to win the lost and assist both youth workers and other youth in reaching the lost.
    • Support the church by serving in other areas and participating in church activities outside the scope of these responsibilities.
    • Consult with other church youth leaders as necessary.
    • Assist the pastor and church leadership with general shepherding responsibilities as necessary.
    • Faithfully support FBCWS in prayer, attendance, service, tithes, and offerings.
