Health, safety and comfort are very important when it comes to the pets we love. Our groomers ensure that they do their best when it comes to your pet by holding these values over vanity. Due to the severity of tangling/matting on your pet, there are additional risks including but not limited to:

1. Irriation or discoloration to the skin by matting or mat removal.

2. Open sores are initially detected.

3. Pests such as fleas or ticks.

4. Increased chance of injury.

5. Mental or physical discomfort to the pet.

6. Dermatitis.

7. Nicks or cuts.

 

Because of these additional risks, the groomer will choose to demat your pet by using a dematting tool. If the groomer deems this practice unsafe, then the groomer will use a blade to shave down your pet.  The length of the blade is at the discretion of the groomer.

 

For the well-being of your pet, we request your permission to seek veterinary care should it be required.

I hereby grant Barking Mad Doggy Daycare & Boarding, LLC permission to seek veterinary care at my expense. In addition, I understand the risks of grooming a matted pet and do not hold the groomer or establishment responsible for any incident or injury to my pet.
