2025 Scholarship Application

(Deadline Febuary 28th, 2025)

Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Graduating High School Senior From a San Antonio Metro Area High School
- African American Male
- Anticipated majors: Music, English, History, Education or STEM. (Science, Technology, Engineering,) Mathematics) Preference will be given to Music, English or Education.
- Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average
- Completed SAT or ACT
- Committed to attending an accredited Historically Black College or University (Fall Semester immediately following graduation)
- Head shot photo
Applicants must submit all items listed below in order for their application to be considered complete. Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Application form
- Two letters of reference from either a counselor, department head, or classroom instructor
- One letter of reference from a community member at large
- Official school transcript showing GPA, SAT/ACT Scores and Class Rank
- Autobiographical Essay Acceptance Letter to Accredited College/University

Awards

The scholarship award will be paid in one installment of $1500; The award will be made directly to the selected student, after the student presents proof of enrollment in an accredited institution.
