  • All Sandpoint Youth Lacrosse Parents are required to fill volunteer positions for the LAX ON THE LAKE Tournament. 

    Please feel free to scroll through to see all available volunteer positions prior to selecting your preferred duty. Certain volunteer positions and/or time slots tend to fill up faster than others so make sure to sign-up quickly. Empty time slots will be assigned at random to parents with enrolled players that have not selected a volunteer position. If you have any questions, please email laxonthelake@gmail.com. 

    Sandpoint Lacrosse Registration Agreement – Volunteer Commitment

    For youth levels: I agree to volunteer a minimum of 2 hours per registered player to support the Lax on the Lake tournament 11-12 May 2024. Sandpoint Lacrosse Lax on the Lake coordinators will assign volunteer duties and time slots prior to the tournament.

    For HS level: I agree to volunteer a minimum of 2 hours per registered player over the course of the season. HS volunteer opportunities will be communicated by the coaches and/or HS Program Directors.

    This tournament is our Clubs largest fundraiser! Your contributions is key to the success of our programs and the well-being of our youth as Sandpoint Lacrosse is entirely operated by volunteers.

    Hosting Lax On The Lake is not possible without all of you!

    Select the top 2 volunteer roles that you prefer from the dropdowns below. Your selection will be used if volunteer schedules are in need of being changed.
  • Volunteer Positions

    Select from the following listed volunteer positions and timeslots that you are willing/able to fill. Please note that these are separated by the field complexes (i.e., each page will be a different field complex and will list that complexes' volunteer positions). Volunteer Positions Descriptions can be found on the last page.
  • Volunteer at GREAT NORTHERN, CENTENNIAL, TRAVERS FIELDS

    This field complex is recommend for Parents of 3/4 Boys, 5/6 Boys, and 7/8 Boys. 

  • Volunteer at MEMORIAL FIELD

    This field complex is recommend for Parents of 7/8th Grade Players. Each of the divisions of the 7/8's will have games at this location at different times during the event.

  • Volunteer at COLT & PINE FIELDS

    This field complex is recommend for Parents of 1/2 Players (Boys and Girls), 3/4 Girls, 5/6 Girls, and 7/8 Girls. We will be having ALL the 1/2's games on COLT.

  • Volunteer Position Descriptions

    Below is a brief description of the volunteer positions. These are also listed on the LAX ON THE LAKE website.
  • Field Setup

    You will be helping with setting up the fields, trash cans, tents, chairs, tables, etc. A field map will be available to show where items will be placed.
  • Field Teardown

    You will be clearing the fields of all the tournament items. All Sandpoint Lacrosse items will need to be loaded up to take back to the storage unit.
  • T-Shirt Booth

    You will be selling Tournament Merchandise. Duties will include handling monies, operating a square, pressing shirts, and filling out a cash box reconciliation sheet at noon and end of the day.
  • Concessions

    You will be selling beverages and other assorted goodies. Duties will include making coffee, handling monies, operating a square, and filling out a cash box reconciliation sheet at noon and end of the day.
  • Central Horn

    You will be making sure games start every hour. This includes making sure the fields have referees, the referees have a game scoresheet, the air horn is blown on the hour to start the next round of games on time and communicate with HQ on any issues and/or needs.
  • Site Sub Coordinator

    You will be making sure that the site is covered and will be the first point of contact for that site. Site Sub Coordinators will work with the tournament coordinators/directors to ensure the site has what it needs and provide a list of needed items at the end of the day on Saturday.
  • Prior to the Tournement Help

    This includes several items a few weeks leading up to the tournament. Typically, this includes pressing shirts, putting together referee packets, putting together coach packets, organizing field totes, moving goals to fields etc.
  • All volunteers will be notified of which position(s) and timeslot(s) they have been assigned prior to the tournament. If NO tournament changes are needed your volunteer position(s) and timeslot(s) will remain the same as what you have selected.

    Please understand that we do our best to schedule it so that parents can watch their child(s) games, but this is not always possible.

    This Tournament is our Club's largest fundraiser and we couldn't host it without all of you!
