CHILD RIGHTS ALLIANCE: MEMBERSHIP CODE OF CONDUCT
This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for organisations that are part of the Child Rights Alliance Inc., affiliated with Children’s Rights Queensland. By agreeing to this code (also outlined on our website), your organisation commits to upholding the following principles:
GENERAL
Professionalism: We will conduct ourselves in a professional manner at all times, treating fellow Alliance members and stakeholders with respect and courtesy.
Support: We will support the objectives and mission of the Child Rights Alliance Inc..
Values: We will respect and uphold the values of the Children's Rights Alliance Inc.
Participation: We will actively participate in Alliance activities, including attending meetings regularly, contributing constructively to discussions, and fulfilling any assigned tasks or responsibilities in a timely manner.
Confidentiality: We will maintain the confidentiality of information discussed during Alliance meetings or related to Alliance business, refraining from disclosing such information without proper consent.
Use of Logo: We permit the Children's Rights Alliance to list our logo on the website and promote our membership.
Knowledge: We will develop and maintain a sound and up-to-date knowledge of Children’s Rights Queensland, including the nature and extent of its work.
Conflict of Interest: We will disclose any potential conflict of interest that may arise in relation to Alliance matters and will refrain from participating in discussions or decisions where we have a personal, financial, or political interest.
RELATIONS WITH OTHERS
Respect: We will work considerately and respectfully with all those we engage with, respecting the diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and opinions represented within the Alliance.
Personal Agenda: We will not use the Alliance as a platform to advance our own personal agenda(s).
Professionalism in Communication: We will not make public comments about the Child Rights Alliance and its members that are defamatory, unfair, or inappropriate. We will not speak on behalf of the Alliance.
Confidentiality of Clients: We understand that discussing individual cases or clients pertaining to professional or personal matters is not appropriate at Alliance meetings and will not share confidential information at Alliance meetings or through Alliance communication channels.
Ethical Behavior: We will act in a way that models and promotes the highest standard of ethical behavior, dealing with everyone with honesty and integrity, and complying with all laws and regulations.
LEAVING THE ALLIANCE
Dismissal: We understand that substantial breaches of this code may result in procedures being put in motion that may result in our organisation's dismissal from the Alliance.
Acceptance of Decision: Should our organisation be asked to leave the Alliance, we will accept the majority decision of the Children's Rights Alliance Inc. Leadership Team in this matter and cease to participate in the Alliance.
Resignation: If our organisation wishes to cease being a member of the Child Rights Alliance at any time, we will inform Children’s Rights Queensland in writing, stating our reasons for leaving, otherwise our membership will renew annually.
By agreeing to this Code of Conduct, our organisation commits to upholding these principles and contributing positively to the Child Rights Alliance Inc.
